As a physician and entrepreneur, I am driven by the question that how can we prevent diseases before they even emerge? In the private sector, my focus goes beyond treatment to include prevention while in emergency care, I see firsthand what happens when prevention is not prioritized. This combination motivates me to develop new solutions that can support people’s health on both an individual and a societal level.
I graduated as a general practitioner from the University of Eastern Finland in Kuopio. I provide private consultations and regularly work in emergency care within specialized healthcare. I see challenging emergency situations as an important way to maintain and further develop my skills. I believe that a physician’s professional growth does not end at graduation, rather on the contrary: continuously updating knowledge, keeping up with current research, and refining clinical skills are both a responsibility and a privilege for every doctor.
While patient care is at the core of my work, I am broadly interested in the healthcare field. I am constantly seeking new opportunities to make an impact and support people also through entrepreneurship and new health initiatives. My vision is to help people on a scale larger than one patient at a time.
One step in this direction has been founding the social media channel, FiilisMed, through which I share information, spark discussion and highlight current topics in healthcare.
I was born in Finland and have Indian roots, which has given me a broad and empathetic perspective on encountering patients and a strong set of values to guide my medical work. Respect for others, a strong work ethic, and family-centered thinking are at the heart of everything I do.
In the coming years, I intend to deepen my expertise particularly in preventive healthcare, occupational health, and emergency medicine. My specialization plans are still open. For me, growth and learning are a continuous process.
Above all, the most important part of my work is genuinely helping people, whether in consultations, emergency care, or projects that aim to improve healthcare.
